Thank you for flying out to witness us say “I do” in a place that means so much to us. We couldn't picture our wedding anywhere else. We’ll see you all in June!

 
Our Story

In the year of 2016 during the hottest weekend in Charlotte, NC, CIAA, Miaya and her friends decided to invade a day party. Though the atmosphere was for an older crowd, Miaya was able to notice Clifton and his friends walking through. According to Cliff, Miaya was the most beautiful woman in the entire club so he smiled at her and she approached him for a dance. Inviting him to the dance floor, Miaya apprehensively grabbed Cliff by the hand and has been #Holdingon2Cliff ever since! 

In 2017 they started a long distance relationship and when traveling to see each other every weekend was not enough, they decided to move in with one another in 2019 to Raleigh, NC. In 2021, they welcomed their first child, Clifton Daniel Springfield-Cobb Jr, (CJ). 

The day before Mother’s Day, as Miaya’s gift, Clifton arranged for them to take family pictures at Duke Botanical Gardens in Durham, NC. Miaya absolutely did not want this as a gift and expressed it several times, but reluctantly she went along with his gift; and she is glad that she did. During intermission, she began fixing her dress and thought Clifton was fixing his shoes. He begin to pull on her dress and when she turned around Cliff was down on one knee and she emotionally, yet excitedly said yes!
