| Annie first laid eyes on Israel on June 25, 2006 at St. Augustine's Rainbow Camp in Cleveland, OH! From the moment she saw him she thought he was the cutest guy she had ever seen, in his royal blue and bright orange basketball shorts and jersey! They flirted all the time and Annie would always make fun of Israel's butt chin. They spent the entire summer chatting during camp hours, but towards the end Annie stopped talking to Israel because her feelings were hurt at him making a joke that she was flat chested (LOL)! Still, every summer after that, Annie would fall right back into lust with Israel. In July of 2008, Annie and Israel finally hit things off and began dating. Things did not really work out as Annie's father was extremely strict and she was never allowed to see Israel- so once the school year started things died down and they stopped talking. Summer of 2009 Annie texted Israel a very generic "Hey what are you doing in October?". Israel stated he did not have anything planned and Annie took the opportunity to ask him to be his Quinceanera partner (even though they were both dating other individuals at this time). They spent the entire summer together reciting and practicing for the Quinceanera and in this time became extremely close again. You could just tell the connection was totally there and that they really liked each other, but again, they were dating other people at this time, so they just remained very good friends. Spring of 2010, Annie went through a really bad break-up and the first person she went to with her heartbreak was Israel (now isn't that ironic?). It just so happens, that around the same time Israel and his girlfriend had just also split (WOW, God really has a way of making things work, huh?). Israel and Annie were literally best friends, they always talked and were there for each other during this difficult time. That summer, Annie asked Israel to join a dance group with her. He joined and this made their friendship even stronger! Finally, on July 27, 2010, Israel asked Annie if she wanted to be his girlfriend and without even thinking twice Annie said YES! Sadly, two weeks later, Annie cut things off, but luckily, Israel was willing to wait for her....and on September 1, 2010 their official journey together began... |
By the time we celebrate our wedding day with you all, we would have been "officially" together for 10 years. Throughout those 10 years we have endured a lot together! It truly has been a rollercoaster, but we never doubted that we genuinely loved each other unconditionally. We have created amazing memories together that we will forever cherish. We have grown up together- from getting our first job, car and apartment to our first house together. We went to homecoming and prom, graduated high school and college during this time. We started a family and had our two biggest blessings Xayden (2017) and Xeilani (2019). What we share, truly is special and we look forward to seeing what the next 10 years of our relationship will look like as a married couple! xox |
